  • Day 1: Arrival in Paro – Transfer to Thimphu

Arrive at Paro International Airport, where the flight path offers breathtaking views of the Eastern Himalayas. After completing immigration formalities, meet your local guide and transfer to Thimphu, the capital city of Bhutan. En route, visit Chuzom, the confluence of Paro and Thimphu rivers, marked by three distinct stupas—Tibetan, Nepalese, and Bhutanese. Before reaching Thimphu, stop by Tschogang Lhakhang, the Temple of the Excellent Horse, built in the 15th century in honor of Balaha, the compassionate manifestation of Buddha. On arrival, check in to your hotel and relax. In the evening, enjoy an exploratory walk around Thimphu’s Main Street and Local Crafts Bazaar, where you can find hand-woven textiles, Thangkha paintings, ceramics, and more. Conclude the day with a visit to Trashichhoedzong, the “Fortress of the Glorious Religion,” which serves as the center of government and religion.

  • Day 2: Thimphu – Paro (65 km, 1 hour 15 mins approx.)

After breakfast, begin the day with a visit to Buddha Point (Kuensel Phodrang), home to the largest Buddha statue in Bhutan, offering sweeping views of the Thimphu Valley. Continue to the Textile Museum, showcasing Bhutan’s finest traditional weaving techniques and local artistry. Visit Simply Bhutan Museum, a living museum that beautifully depicts ancient Bhutanese architecture and lifestyle. The final stop in Thimphu is Memorial Chorten, built in memory of Bhutan's third King, His Majesty Jigme Dorji Wangchuck. This iconic stupa features intricate paintings and statues representing Buddhist philosophy. Later in the afternoon, drive to Paro and check in to your hotel. Enjoy the evening at leisure.

  • Day 3: Paro – Hike to Tiger's Nest (Taktshang Monastery)

After breakfast, embark on a thrilling hike to the iconic Taktshang Monastery (Tiger's Nest). Perched dramatically on a cliffside 900m above the Paro Valley, it is one of Bhutan's most sacred sites. Legend has it that Guru Rinpoche flew here on the back of a tigress and meditated, thus giving it the name 'Tiger's Nest.' On your return, visit Kyichu Lhakhang, one of Bhutan's oldest and most beautiful temples, symbolizing the introduction of Buddhism to the region. Spend your evening exploring Paro's Main Street and local market area, where you can pick up souvenirs and experience the vibrant local culture.
