Day 1: Arrival in Paro – Transfer to Thimphu (55 km / 1.5 hours)
Arrive at Paro International Airport, greeted with fresh mountain air. Transfer to Thimphu with a stop at Chuzom, the confluence of Thimphu and Paro rivers. Visit Tamchogang Lhakhang en route, a 15th-century temple dedicated to Balaha, the compassionate Buddha. Explore the capital: Motithang Takin Preserve, Buddha Point (Kuensel Phodrang), King’s Memorial Chorten, and Trashichhoedzong.
